Make a simple DIY wedding backdrop with these DIY Hanging Flower Vases. Follow the directions below to create a backdrop that is great for any occasion. Make several and give them as favors to wedding guests at the end of the night. Your guests will love adding their own air plants to these pretty vases. Take your gold gilding to the next level by using gold foil to create eye-catching texture. These ornaments unique containers for florals and are a great way to add some bling to your celebrations or plant display.
Apply a long length of Washi Tape around the middle of the Small Round Hanging Globes. Try putting the washi tape on at different angles for each of the ornaments so they're all unique.
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge® on the globes, staying on one side of the washi tape.
While the Mod Podge® is still wet, carefully cover it in gold leaf and allow time for the glue to dry.
Use a chubby paint brush to brush the excess gold leaf off the globe.
Once dry, apply another layer of Mod Podge® over the foil to lock it in place. Allow time for the Mod Podge® to dry.
Place an air plant or single rose bud inside the globe and hang it with Jute Cording or Satin Ribbon. These globes are the perfect way to add a little bling to your plant display or wedding décor. Check out how we used them for a wedding food bar backdrop and other popcorn bar ideas here.
