Make a modern farmhouse-inspired DIY Herb Garden Planter that you can keep in your kitchen! Using a wooden planter box, paint it with black chalkboard paint, leaving a bit of the wood grain on the top exposed. Your herbs can be planted in galvanized metal buckets that fit easily into the wood planter box. Write the name of your herbs on the chalkboard paint and watch them grow!

Using masking tape or washi tape, tape off the desired area of wooden planter box and paint two coats of black chalkboard paint. Let first coat of paint dry before applying second coat.

To prepare each bucket for planting, place polished river rocks in bottom of each galvanized pot to allow drainage when watering herbs.
