You can't head into the jungle for an adventure without the appropriate gear! These personalized DIY kids' pith helmets are a must at any Jungle Birthday Party. Spark imagination and fun in all your little party guests as they look the part in these adorable hats. Follow the simple steps below to create these playful jungle helmets. They make a wonderful and unique party favor too!
Start by painting a scalloped style leaf in the DIY Unfinished Wood Leaf Shapes set in the Christmas Green shade of Acrylic Paint. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Paint a 5-pointed style leaf in the DIY Unfinished Wood Leaf Shapes set in the New Shamrock shade of Acrylic Paint. Allow the paint to dry completely.
After the paint on both of the leaves is dry, slightly layer the 5-pointed leaf over the scalloped leaf and attach them together with hot glue.
Now it's time to personalize the leaves! Using 3D Rockabye Silver Glitter Alphabet Stickers, spell out the name of a party guest and attach each letter onto the wooden leaf shapes.
Set aside your personalized wooden leaves for now. Next, we'll create a border of Eucalyptus Leaves around the brim of the Kids' Pith Helmet with Animal Print Band. Using a small amount of hot glue attach 9 leaves around the brim.
Alternating colors between Green Tinsel Pom-Poms and Orange Tinsel Pom-Poms, hot glue a pom-pom in between each eucalyptus leaf.
Using hot glue, attach the personalized wooden leaf piece that you created in Step 4 to the front of your helmet.
Cluster 3 Green Yarn Pom-Poms of various sizes together and hot glue them to the top of your pith helmet.
Using Self-Adhesive Glitter Leaf Shapes in varying colors and sizes, create a border of leaves above the animal print band. Encircle the entire pith helmet.
Lastly, display the personalized DIY kids' pith helmets on a table at your Jungle Birthday Party. Your little party adventurers can find their hats on the way to their seats. Now they're all set for a wild time!
