Today we are sharing how we made super simple travel games using little cotton pouches. Stash colored buttons inside and the kids can play checkers or tick tack toe all the way to grandma's house! These little pouches are also wonderful to throw in your carry-on bag for a fun activity during a flight. And don't forget to throw one in your purse for a family night out to a restaurant. They're so convenient to have on hand for a little activity at the table!
Cut a piece of paper to fit inside the bag so the paint will not bleed through.
For tick tack toe board, use a ruler to mark the lines lightly with a pencil. This will become the game board.
Use a good paint brush to paint straight lines.
For the checkerboard, measure a board with 6 blocks across and 6 blocks down. On this pouch I measured every 1.5 cm.
Again, using a straight edge good paint brush, paint the blocks to create a checkerboard.
Let the paint dry on one side of the pouch. Pick solid-colored craft buttons to put in the pouch for game pieces!
