Handcrafted decorations are my favorite. I love making custom items because they always end up matching my party themes perfectly. I recently made a fun DIY Light Bulb Garland for our Charlie Brown Christmas Party and I’m excited to share how you can make one too! I wanted to create a little something for our party table and was inspired by Snoopy’s festive dog house decorations. With just a few supplies and less than a half hour, you can customize your very own Light Bulb Garland to match any party theme. Best of all, there is virtually no mess!
Starting with the Christmas Light Sand Art Necklaces, remove the string necklace. Next, remove the cap and drop a dollop of paint into the light bulb. Replace the cap of the bulb and shake vigorously until the paint thoroughly coats the inside of the bulb. Do the same with the DIY Clear Ornaments.
Fold the Gigantic Felt Sheets in half and cut along the fold line. Next, cut 6 x 1.5 inch strips of felt in desired colors.
Thread the light bulbs and ornaments on a string of Baker’s Twine, leaving a gap in between each. Next, tie the felt strips around the twine, making one knot.
Repeat until you have filled all the gaps in between the bulbs and ornaments with felt.
Now you have your very own tabletop decoration to match Snoopy’s dog house!
