Hosting a Superbowl party? Score big with your decorations when you display a DIY replica of the coveted Lombardi Football Trophy at your Superbowl party.
Use a ruler and a sharp craft knife to cut the foam board. You will need the following measurements to cut the base of your trophy. Cut each piece so that it is 18 inches tall, 8 1/2 inches wide on the bottom, and 2 1/2 inches wide at the top. These measurements will create a triangular shape. The sides of each piece are cut on a 30 degree angle so that they fit together seamlessly when glued together.
Spray paint the foam board and the football with the silver spray paint, let dry thoroughly.
Attach the football to the top of the trophy base with the E6000 glue. Let the glue dry overnight to ensure it is securely attached.
Cover foam or boxes with the black paper to create a platform for your trophy to sit on.
Cover the wall or a large board with the black paper and use a chalk marker or chalk to sketch out football plays.
Blow up the large mylar letter balloons and place on the side of your trophy to recreate this year’s game logo.
