A DIY Love Quote Wedding Sign can be a beautiful way to add a personal touch to any wedding. With a few simple supplies, you can create this custom addition to your wedding, bridal shower or even just as a fun piece of home decor! Start creating your custom wedding chalkboard sign by layering on a thick coat of chalk board paint. Use a foam brush from the Plaid Paintbrush Super Value Pack and liberally apply the chalkboard paint to the DIY Slat Sign. After the sign is completely dry, add another thick coat of paint and let it dry fully.
Now that your chalkboard is fully dry, prepare it with a light coating of white Chalk. With the chalk laying flat, simply rub it all over the chalkboard, then wipe it down with your hand or a dry cloth.
Print out the Free Printable Appley Ever After Template and liberally coat the back of the paper with the white chalk. Carefully flip the printable over and center it on the board where you would like the quote to appear.
Now that your free printable is in place, secure it down with a piece of tape at each corner. Using a very sharp pencil, trace over the lettering and vine detailing with a firm hand to transfer the chalk on the back of the printable onto the chalkboard.
Once you have fully traced out your quote, carefully lift the printable sheet. This will reveal your transfer! To darken the quote, trace over your transfer using a Jumbo White Bistro Chalk Marker.
