If you haven’t tried your hand at macrame, now is the time. We are sharing a simple technique to make hanging plants so happy. We are so excited to share this simple and stunning DIY project – the DIY Macrame Plant Hanger! Just a few supplies and you are ready for a new project. This month’s Craft Supply of the Month is Mason jars. When coming up with our idea, we wanted to think outside of the box a bit. Safe to say, we are excited about how this project turned out. We used this beautiful natural cordingMason jars and plants to add some new plant life into the mix! Paint the jars white to add a clean and modern touch.

Tape off the top quarter of the Mason jar. Spray with white spray paint. Let completely dry.

After the jar is dry, add potting soil and a plant to the jar.

Cut 6 pieces of Natural Cording to 28-30 inches long.

Tie the ends together in one knot.

Next, separate the 6 cords into pairs and knot each pair together, about 2 inches up from bottom knot.

Pair the cording up by separating the strands that are tied together and bringing one to the left and one to the right.

Then, tie the new pairs together, about 2 inches from first knot.

Lastly, tie all of the cording together in a top knot. Loop a hook or circle piece onto the knot.
