Do you celebrate Mardi Gras? How about making your own Mardi Gras Banner for your mantle or over a party table? This vibrant and festive banner is great for any Mardi Gras celebration and best of all, can be used year after year.
Select 11 wood squares. Apply green paint to 9 wood squares and leave 2 unpainted. Let dry.
Paint or apply a decal letter to each square spelling "Mardi Gras". Apply glue around the letter, making an outline. Sprinkle Gold Glitter on top of the glue to create a glitter outline.
For the Fluer di Lis, paint the images on the wood or apply the vinyl die cuts.
Apply Mod Podge to the areas around the image with a foam brush.
Apply a generous amount of Gold Glitter, covering the entire area. Shake off the glitter to reveal the glitter background.
String the squares on a strand of Purple Mesh Tube. Cut several 8 inch strands of Mardi Gras Beads, Green Tubing, Purple Tubing and Gold Tubing. Bunch a strand of each together and tie it to the purple tubing above the letter on each square.
