Get crafty this Mardi Gras and make some DIY jester hats with the kids! These cute, easy to make paper hats would also make awesome photo props for adults too! Download the Free Jester Hat Printable here! Print out the free jester hat template. Cut out the triangle and rectangle shapes.
Using the rectangle template, cut out at least two yellow rectangles to make the headband. Older kids may need 3 rectangles. Start with two and stick together at the ends using a glue dot. Wrap the headband around their head to determine the size.
Next, decorate the yellow hand band with the star foam shapes.
Once you’ve added your foam stars you can glue the ends of the headband together with one glue dot.
Using the triangle template, trace and cut three purple triangles and three green triangles. Punch out six 1″ circles to glue to the tops of your triangle shapes.
Using your glue dots, stick your triangle pieces evenly placed on the headband.
Wear your DIY jester hat creation! You’re done!
