To get started you'll need to pick some items that your Minecraft gamers will recognize from the game. I chose some edible favorites like Hershey nuggets to represent iron ingots, chocolate carrots, gold chocolate coins and large green gumballs to represent slime balls. For a non-edible treat you can also add some gems to your favors.
The last addition are some edible TNT bundles! To make them take 3 small pieces of rope licorice and slice to be about 2 inches tall. Grab your FREE TNT printable to get started. Just print and cut out the small TNT letters, wrap around 3 pieces of licorice and use tape to secure the back closed. Set these aside.
Now that you found all of the goodies to put inside, now you need to assemble your DIY favor boxes. Get started by putting together the clear DIY favor boxes. To decorate the boxes, print and cut out the Game Over tags then use tape to attach the tags to the clear boxes. Fill with green shredded paper about half full. Add in your Hershey nuggets , chocolate carrots, gold chocolate coins, large green gumballs, licorice TNT and gems.
In addition to the DIY game over favor boxes your party guests will love these power up tubes. To create just add a few greenand black sugar straws to the clear acrylic tubes. Next, add 3 star stickers to the acrylic tubes. To display you can use some of the leftover shimmery green, dark green and black gumballs. Add a few pick-axe pencils to the mix and you are all set with a few unforgettable Minecraft themed treats that your little gamers are sure to love!
