I am a plant enthusiast through and through. There is something about seeing little green babies grow and change under my care that has always excited me. These are absolutely gorgeous terrariums that were a must to create into a mini Air Plant Modern Terrarium. And an added bonus, they turned out even more adorable than I thought they would.
The first step to creating these modern terrariums is adding fun details to their sturdy wooden bases. I painted one base with a sponge pouncer to create a scallop pattern. I painted simple black crosses on one base. And then used a brand new pencil eraser to create polka dots on the last one.
While the paint on the bases was drying, I worked on adding fun color to a few found rocks and small twigs. I spray painted them in shades of pink, coral and copper.
Once all the paint was dry, I used my funnel and started adding the white sand into the terrariums! Next is the best part … adding in all your little painted accessories, disco balls, adorable flamingo picks and finally the air plants.
You can have such fun collecting miniature items to put in your terrarium! I loved adding the pops of pink for an unexpected surprise in mine. And the little flamingos are just the perfect touch!
