I love to help my students create sweet, simple gifts to celebrate their mom for Mother’s Day. A Mother’s Day Love Jar is a gift that will be kept for many, many years to come. Mothers will love getting a mason jar filled with little ways that their child loves them! This is an easy, quick craft that doesn’t require a lot of effort but will definitely make mom smile. Pre-cut strips of coloredindexcards. Each strip doesn’t have to be the same size. Pick and choose how many strips you would like to use. I used enough to fill the mason jar. As a class, brainstorm things that we LOVE about our moms.
Make a big anchor chart and then have students record reasons why they love their mom on the stripsofcoloredindexcards. As an extra touch, you could also print famous quotes about mothers on colored cardstock and add to the jar.
