This tutorial can be adapted to any color palette so you can create wall art for either a boy or girl's room. Let's get started!
Gather your supplies and squeeze the paint colors of your choice into Paint Palettes.
Remove the backs of 3 of the Unfinished Wood Scallop Square Frames and using the thick paint brush from the Paint Brush Set paint the outer frames with 2 coats of one color (I chose white). Be sure to allow the first coat to dry before applying the second coat of paint. Next, paint the frame backing a different color. I chose a bright pink. Set aside and let both fully dry. Once dry, place the backing of each of the frames back into the frame and secure on the back with the clips.
Paint one each of the three Ceramic DIY Animal Bowls in coordinating colors. I used light pink, white, light brown, medium brown and black. Be sure to turn each bowl over with the bottom facing up first and paint the underside of the bowls first. Let the bowls completely dry and then paint the animals. There are a variety of sizes of paint brushes in the Paint Brush Set that will allow you to accurately get the details. Repeat this step for each of the 3 animal bowls. Let them dry completely.
Turn each of the bowls over with the bottom facing up and squeeze a thick line of E6000® Craft Adhesive Glue around the entire bottom rim of the bowl. Then center the bowl right side up in the center of the frame and press down firmly. Be sure you place the bowls on the frames with the hole on the back of the frame on the bottom. Do this for all three bowls. The glue will need at least 24 hours to fully dry and cure before you hang them or place them upright.
Once the bowls are fully secured to the frames, they are ready to display in your kid’s room or nursery. They can be displayed on a wall as wall art or displayed sitting upright on a dresser, bookcase or shelf. To display them sitting, place a wood dowel that comes with the frames into the hole on the backside of the frame and stand them up. To hang them on the wall, you can use Command® picture hanging strips using the directions on the package.
