This is such a fun way for kids to decorate the front porch or backyard for the Fourth of July. These DIY patriotic windsocks come together in minutes thanks to kid-friendly supplies like peel-and-stick foam stickers and craft glue. The set of bucket favor containers come in a set of six, so you’ll have plenty to decorate with. They look so pretty moving in the breeze together! These windsocks are just one of several fun patriotic projects in store for Stars and Stripes Week of Camp Fun. Be sure to also check-out the video to make these windsocks.
Unfold the blue and red plastic tablecloths and cut into 1 inch wide strips. You can cut through several of the layers at a time, and will only need about eight strips of each color per windsock.
Turn over a bucket favor container and add a generous bead of tacky glue around the inside of the rim.
Press the tablecloth strips into the tacky glue, alternating colors and overlapping slightly. Let dry.
Decorate the clear part of the bucket favors with foam star stickers.
Finish by wrapping a length of wired patriotic garland around the handle of the bucket container.
