You may not believe it but you can achieve a gorgeous marbled look simply with nail polish! I am going to show you how to transform simple ceramic plates into pretty pink marble plates. These DIY plates would be perfect to display at a wedding or dinner party. So dig out your old nail polish bottles and those art class lessons for this simple marble plate DIY!
Fill your container with warm water and pour your nail polish in. I recommend adding a little bit of polish to your container at a time, don't go crazy and add the whole bottle! I used two shades of pink to create my marble plates.
Use a plastic fork to swirl the water and nail polish.
Dip one ceramic plate into the container at a time. It helps to dip the entire ceramic plate into the water at once. This marble method is similar to tie-dye - dunk, and wait for a pretty surprise!
Leave your marble plates to dry for an hour. Once completely dry to the touch, seal with Mod Podge matte sealer.
