Make your pirate themed Trunk or Treat interactive with this fun DIY Pirate Hook Ring Toss game. All of the trick-or-treators will have lots of fun playing for prizes from the sunken treasure chest.
Spray paint the stained wood sign with black spray paint. Once the paint is dry create a map on your wooden board. You can either paint dotted lines and an "X" on the board with red paint, or use your Cricut to cut out the map in red vinyl (which is what I did here.). Download the free template here.
Position 5 pirate hooks on the board, two in the top corner, two in the bottom corner and one in the middle. Screw a screw through the back of the board each hook will be. Then screw the inside part of the hook onto the screw. Here is a tip: put a ziptie or rubberband around the inside part of the hook to make sure it doesn't split open.
Cut a piece of jute cording about 12" long and wrap it into the shape of a circle.
Cut a piece of black Duck Tape and wrap it around where the ends meet to secure the loop in place.
Take your new game board to your pirate themed Trunk or Treat and watch the kids have fun trying to land the rings on the hooks.
