Halloween doesn't have to be all scary. For my kids, I love to come up with kid-friendly DIY Halloween craft ideas for their annual Halloween party. These DIY Pixy Dust Fairy Wands are fun to make, are perfect Halloween party favors and can double as a party activity for your guests. Add one tube of purple jumbo Pixy Stix® candy to each large favor tube to fill it two-thirds of the way full. Fill to the top of each large favor tube with blue jumbo Pixy Stix® candy. Screw the tops on to each candy-filled favor tube until securely closed.
Write each guest's name on the Magic Color Scratch Wands using the enclosed wooden stick. It will reveal a colorful pattern that will show through the black. Have fun with it and add spider webs and doodle designs to each one.
Place a line of hot glue along one side of a purple striped paper straw and attach them to the back of each of the fairy wands. This will make the fairy wands sturdy so they don't flop over as the wands are made of a light-weight cardstock.
Using black baker's twine, attach each candy-filled favor tube to the front of each fairy wand. Be sure to line up the bottom of the fairy wand with the bottom of the favor tube.
Add a spooky element to the wands by attaching two scary spiders to the wands using Mini Glue Dots®.
Now they are all ready! If you're making these for a party, display your personalized DIY Pixy Dust Fairy Wands for each guest to take home. You could also use this craft as a party activity and set up a "Make Your Own Pixy Dust Fairy Wands Station."
