Add some color and whimsy to a wall that needs a little flair with our DIY Pom Pom and Clothespin Garland. We love how yarn can add so much color and fun to a space that needs some brightening up! We used a pom pom maker to make our poms, but you can use other techniques as well. We gathered some of our favorite little postcards, photos and even a packet of flower seeds that we wanted to hang from the garland. Use little clothespins to clip mementos onto garland. What a fun way to change out art, photos and memories!
Wrap yarn around one side of the pom pom maker. The more yarn you wrap, the fuller the pom pom will be. Wrap yarn on the other side as well.
After wrapping both sides of the pom pom maker, use sharp scissors to cut down the center of both sides.
Tie a piece of yarn through the center of the pom pom maker.
Trim the edges of yarn to even the pom pom.
Use a beading needle or embroidery needle to thread yarn through the pom poms to create garland.
