Wooden popsicle sticks, watercolor paint, and tape are all you need to create this whimsical and colorful table runner for your summer parties.This table runner is the perfect decor piece for a Popsicle Themed Summer Party.
Add liquid watercolor paint to the paint palette and use a paintbrush to paint the popsicle sticks. You can use a cup of water to thin the paint. This will give each stick a slightly different color variation.
I wanted each stick to resemble what the stained popsicle sticks look like after you've finished eating a popsicle. Continue painting the popsicle sticks until you have a variety of colors and enough to fit the length of your table. I used around 75 for my table runner.
Flip the painted popsicle sticks upside down and lay them side by side. I ended up staggering the height of each one to give the table runner a little variation. Use masking tape to tape them together.
Carefully flip the popsicle stick table runner right side up and move to the table you will be using for the party. Here's a tip: If you tape 8-10 sticks together in sections the masking tape will bend and allow you to fold the runner up for easier transportation.
Add the table runner to your party table and complete the look with colorful popsicle-themed decorations and paper goods.
