These prayer jars are the perfect way to teach kids the importance of prayer! Each prayer jar you create can have a special theme; create a prayer family jar, a jar with Bible verses, a jar of good deeds or a mixed jar with all of the above. Prayer jars are an awesome reminder to slow down, take a moment of silence and get in tune with what really matters, our relationship with God.
Paint the plastic jars with spray paint. Allow the jars to dry before decorating.
Using the religious foam shapes and sayings, decorate the prayer jars.
Using self-adhesive rhinestones add a little bling to your prayer jar.
Have kids draw their own designs using sharpies. The girls and I recreated one of the foam sticker patterns onto the jar.
Have kids use the sharpies to write Bible verses, sayings, family members names of who they will pray for, or good deeds! Kiddos can make multiple jars with different themes.
