These cute first birthday favors are called Propeller Pops; named for their cute propellers, and how they look like little airplanes! These darling party favors are made from paper cardstock and are easy to make prior to the party. We added a cute photo cutout of the birthday boy in a party hat for a fun, personalized touch. You can embellish these any way you like!
Using the Sizzix Big Shot and the smallest flower shape on the Eileen Hull Pansy Die, cut 24 items, and trim the curved edges with a pair of scissors.
Divide the red and blue cardstock circles and the rectangular strips into two stacks so you are working with only one color at a time.
Center the propeller on a circle cardstock and secure with a brad.
Using the small circle punch, create a dot from the grey cardstock, and secure with a dot of glue.
Glue the completed propeller to the front of a lollipop. (If you’re using red paper, use a blue lollipop, and if you’re using blue paper, use a red lollipop.) Time for a test flight! You’ll be delighted to find that the propeller will spin!
Trim the rectangles so that they are curved and resemble airplane wings, center on the back of the lollipop, and adhere with glue, as shown.
