Place cards always make a meal feel extra special, and what better time to use place cards than for the most anticipated meal of the year - Thanksgiving! These ceramic pumpkin ornaments do double-duty as napkin holders and place cards. Just paint, add a name with letter stickers and wrap the hanger around the back of a cloth napkin. The pumpkin ornaments can even be favors for your guests to take home and repurpose as fall decor.
Create a diagonal line across the pumpkin with masking tape. Use your finger to press down the tape and prevent any paint from seeping underneath.
Paint below the tape with acrylic craft paint and a foam brush.
If you want, you can add extra sparkle to the stems with gold leaf. Use a small brush to carefully apply gold leaf adhesive to pumpkin stems. Once the adhesive is tacky, cover the area with gold foil leaf sheets. Brush away any excess gold foil.
Add names above the painted area with gold letter stickers.
Add a pumpkin place card to each place setting by wrapping its hanger around a cloth napkin.
