Brightly colored reindeer mugs are transformed into an amusing DIY holiday centerpiece with the addition of pine branches and colored Christmas bulbs. Two mugs are the perfect size for decorating a standard dining table, and make a lovely holiday keepsake that can be used as coffee or cocoa mugs, or as unique holiday vases.
Trim a piece of hard craft foam to fit a reindeer mug. Repeat for a second centerpiece. Press the foam into the mugs until it is securely lodged inside and cannot be moved around.
Trim the pine branches to fit the height of the reindeer mug. You'll want the base of the pine branch to sit at the top of the mug, and slightly down inside.
Coat the stem of the pine branch with clear glue, and press it down into the foam, as shown.
Use scissors to trim a length of colorful holiday lights, and wind them into the pine branch antlers. (This will render the lights inoperable.)
