Start by selecting five different raw wooden shapes and paint them in bright cheery paint colors.
Next, I printed out my "Days of the Week" sheet and cut it down to size (8" x 8"). Download the Free Days of the Week Printable here! I slipped the sheet into the frame and used the lines to guide my taping. I used a thin washi tape and added a strip above and below each day of the week line.
Remove the "days of the week" paper. Using the most happy paint colors ever and my rectangular palette, I slowly started painting each line. You will keep nice crisp lines if you remove the tape while your paint is still wet.
For the other frame, I used cotton swabs to create colorful polka dots.
I then painted five clothes pins in the coordinating paint colors as the wooden shapes. And once they were dry, I hot gluedmagnets onto the back of the shapes.
Lastly, I hot glued the clothes pins to the bottom of a frame and then used a permanent marker to create the days of the week on the shape magnets!
