Halloween doesn’t always have to be dark and scary! We love fairies, glitter and rainbows all year round in our home, so why not bring in those same elements during Halloween? With this glitter fairy project you can add some sparkle to your front stoop and delight trick or treaters this year with an unexpected pop of color.

Choose whatever glitter spray paint color you prefer from your local hardware store. It took me about 1.5 cans to completely cover the smaller Posable Skeleton. It's best to apply the spray paint in layers. I found that hanging the skeleton while spraying made for a more even coverage.

To attach the Blue Spider Fairy Wings to the skeleton using hot glue. For added stability you could also secure the wings with fishing line or wire.

The Light-Up Floral Headband we used is meant for a child's head, so to make it fit the skeleton you’ll need to do some adjusting. If you overlap the headband around itself to the correct size you can hot glue it in place.  Make sure to keep the battery pack towards the back of the head so you can’t see it when thew skeleton is displayed.

Now it's time to pose your skeleton fairy! You can have your fairy sitting on a step or a railing since the legs are poseable and can bend.  You can also create a flying fairy with the help of some fishing wire. Make sure to attach fishing wire directly to the skeleton’s main body piece as that is the strongest point and can withstand the weight of the additional accessories.

Don't forget to accessorize your skeleton! We added a Pastel Glittery Star Wand to our fairy for that extra bit of sparkle and magic. If you choose to add a wand, it will stick in between the skeleton's fingers. Just add some hot glue to make sure the wand stays in place. The shredded fabric that goes perfectly with our fairy is simply our Natural Creepy Cloth that we dyed pastel rainbow with a Unicorn Tie-Dye Kit. Lastly, you can add some other Halloween elements such as DIY Ceramic Pumpkins and a Small Skull Resin Cranium to really complete your scene.
