Things that go bump in the night, howling ghouls and decrepit skeletons... this is what comes to mind for a truly scary and classic Halloween bash. For our Vintage Halloween Party, we wanted to create a unique centerpiece that would capture the fear that these timeless Halloween horrors evoke. With creepy cobwebs, black as night florals, stained skulls and bone chilling cages, this horrifying centerpiece is sure to captivate and haunt your Halloween Party guests.
Start by staining and aging your diy ceramic skull using a combination of white, black, gray and brown paints. Allow your skull to dry completely.
Dismantle and paint the faux florals in a mix of black and bone colored tones and allow to dry. Add black to the center of some of the florals for a creepy look.
Adhere the skeleton keys to the florals using a dot of hot glue.
Spray paint the birdcage black, and when dry, insert the skull centerpiece into the black birdcage.
Place the painted florals in the base of the birdcage.
Intermix a few black feathers and a few skeleton keys within the florals for a terrifying touch.
