When creating a “bar” of any type for a wedding or special event, it’s all about the display. So we’re painting custom wooden boxes to showcase the cocktail ingredients for this DIY Spike Your Soda Bar! Don’t worry, there are no painting skills required to tackle this darling project. Then after your special event, flip the boxes right side up and plant flowers in them!
Mix your paint. Add white acrylic paint to the yellow and pink pearlized acrylic paint to make them lighter to match the decor of the soda bar.
When you’re happy with the paint colors, paint the boxes! Blend the yellow and pink together a bit in the middle using separate brushes. Let fully dry.
Using cut out letters, spell out “soda” and “syrup”. Arrange them evenly on the boxes and hang by using a small gold nail. Ugh, so cute!!
Set up the boxes to display your soda bar ingredients!
Then after the wedding or special event, plant some cute flowers in them!
