My daughters Stella and Hazel love accessorizing and always have at least one piece of jewelry on – usually something they’ve made themselves. So when I found these cool space charms and shiny star beads I knew they would love this space craft idea for Outer Space Week of Camp Fun! It turned out to be a big hit, and a simple project too! Make sure to check out all the other summer camp craft ideas for each week of Camp Fun.
Put the charms and pony beads in separate bowls and place on the craft table. Give each child a bead chain necklace (and help them open it if necessary)!
Allow the kids to start threading on the beads and charms however they like. Stella and Hazel liked making patterns with the different colored beads! You can use the moon & star charm and the globe charm to add a fun space-themed look.
Once you’ve added as many beads as you want, snap the bead necklace together and try on your new creation! The bead chain necklaces are nice and long and slip right over the kids’ heads.
