Changing out your mantle decor? Give any mantle a relaxing coastal look for summer with these easy-to-follow instructions for creating this DIY starfish decor piece.
Place an 8×8 stretched canvas onto the roll of burlap face down. Trim the burlap approximately 2″ from the canvas.
Fire up that glue gun and glue the burlap around the back of the canvas making sure that there are no bumps or wrinkles.
Use a foam brush to paint a random patch of aqua paint onto the burlap. Have fun with it! You can paint all the way to the corners or paint a few quick swipes in the middle. Either way, it is going to look fabulous!
Once the paint is dry, use your trusty glue gun to glue a starfish onto the middle of the canvas.
Voila! A starfish decor piece ready for your beach mantle.
