Set out a suitcase of advice so guests at your College Trunk Party can give the college bound student some words of wisdom. This easy DIY can be totally customized using your student's new college colors! This project is made even easier with our free cut file and downloadable advice cards!
Download and print the free College Bound Printable. Upload the large image in your cutting machine software program to convert it to a cut file. Print several copies of the advice cards and cut them with scissors. If you do not have an electronic cutting machine, you can trace the image onto a White Suitcase using carbon paper. Once the image is transferred to the suitcase, you can color over it with a permanent marker.
Using your favorite cutting machine, cut the file on Silver Adhesive Vinyl and Black Adhesive Vinyl. Weed the images using the weeding tools. Adhere the silver design to lid of the Black Suitcase using Clear Transfer Tape. Your message will now be visible on the top lid of the suitcase when it's closed.
Apply the black vinyl to the inside of the suitcase. You'll be left with a message that can be read by guests while the suitcase is open.
Gather the printed advice cards and a pen for guests.
Set up the suitcase on a small table or cart decorated in your student's college colors! Don't forget to add in their new favorite mascot too!
