We recently hosted an epically amazing Wonder Woman Party dedicated to everything this awe-inspiring hero stands for. One of our favorite details from the party was the centerpiece. Full of bright colors inspired by Wonder Woman’s classic garb, timeless superhero imagery and more modern day interpretations of the character, this super centerpiece has it all! Check out our simple tutorial below to create your very own centerpiece at home!
Get started on this superhero-inspired centerpiece by trimming an 18″ inch section of Red Gossamer and fold it in half. Next, begin to hot glue the Red Gossamer to the DIY Flower Box Centerpiece. Start by flipping the flower box upside down. Be sure to only cover the top half of the flower box. Keep the corners neat by folding the gossamer as if you were wrapping a gift. Secure the gossamer by pulling it taught before gluing into place. Allow a few seconds for the glue to take hold and dry.
Repeat Steps 1-2 with the Blue Gossamer Roll, making sure to cover any exposed wood on the DIY Flower Box Centerpiece. Allow any hot glue to fully dry in place before moving on.
Now that the box is fully covered in red and blue gossamer, it is time to add the “golden lasso” portion of our centerpiece. Trim 2 strips of Jute Cording and use hot glue to hold them in place where the Red Gossamer and Blue Gossamer Rolls meet in the center. Allow the glue to dry in place so the jute doesn’t begin to sag.
Above the golden lasso portion of the centerpiece, open a Golden Super Hero Slap Bracelet and adhere it to the red area of the centerpiece box using a good amount of hot glue. Hold the bracelet in place for a few moments so it does not curl back up.
Start adding extra detailing to the blue portion of the centerpiece by adding Adhesive Wooden Gold Stars to the Blue Gossamer Roll.
Now, add a Gold Superhero Tiara to the Red Gossamer portion of the centerpiece.
Flank the centerpiece box with some modern detailing. Start by filling the DC SuperHero Girls™ Plastic Favor Pails with yellow paper shred and Superhero Foil Bursts. Then, place a Gold Super Hero Tiara around the base of each Superhero Foil Burst and display alongside the centerpiece box.
