Whether it’s back to school time, Teacher Appreciation Week or just because, it’s always a good time to show teachers how much you appreciate them! A DIY teacher appreciation apple crate is such a fun way to make a teacher feel extra special. This is a super easy and thoughtful project, perfect for the kids to make!
Using a foam paint brush, apply 2 coats of Americana® Decor Chalky Finish to the DIY apple crate. Be sure to let each coat dry before reapplying.
Once the paint has dried, apply the your choice of washi tape to the top two slats of both sides of the crate. Apply the black washi tape to the bottom slats on the front and back of the crate.
Add basket filler to the bottom of the crate.
Using a hole punch, punch a hole in one sheet of the apple shaped sticky notes and write a sentiment to make a tag. Tie the tag to a slat with ribbon or twine.
Fill the red apple containers with washi tape and sticky notes. Then put them and the apple classroom timer in the crate.
