We're all about a good pun, which was the main inspiration for our Let's Get Basted Girls' Friendsgiving Party. We pretty much punned everything we could, including these DIY Punny Thanksgiving Balloons! Bold, modern text was added to a few colorful balloons, creating a cornucopia of brilliant and basteful puns. Follow the steps below to create your own! Be sure to download our free printable to make this project even easier.
Begin by inflating various 11' colored balloons from the Bright Rainbow Balloon Arch. Chose whatever colors you'd like!
Tie a piece of Thin Ribbon to the knot of each Balloon and add a piece of Mavalus® Multi-Purpose Adhesive Tape to the back of each balloon. You'll then adhere your balloons to a wall in varying heights. This will help keep your balloons stable as you're working.
There are a few different ways to go about the next step. If you have a Cutting Machine, you can use our Project Template and White Adhesive Vinyl to make our various punny sayings. You can also feel free to come up with your own wording by simply erasing our text and providing your own! If you don't have a Cutting Machine, you could print out our Free Printable Template and trace the letters onto White Adhesive Vinyl. You could also simply free-hand the sayings onto the balloons with a White Chalk Marker or Sharpie!
Add the letters to your balloons.
Attach a Pastel Curly Tissue Balloon Tail to each balloon.
Inflate and add in some color coordinating 5" Balloons.
