A palm print backdrop is just what every tropical party needs! I'll show you how to easily create a palm print backdrop perfect for parties, cake tables, and photo booths. Personalize this backdrop with your own colors to create a backdrop that matches your party theme. Read on below to learn how to create this tropical palm print backdrop.
To create this palm print backdrop you first need to create two stencils. Trace a tropical leaf onto a foam sheet and cut using scissors or a knife blade. Create a second stencil by tracing a large palm leaf.
Using a pen or pencil trace your stencils onto a white tablecloth.
Use a thin paint brush and acrylic paint to trace the outlines you made in pen. Once traced, use a thick brush to fill in your shapes with paint. Work slowly so that your paint does not bleed. Once your backdrop has dried completely drape over a backdrop stand and use safety pins to secure in place.
Apply strong grip double sided tape to the back of a large clothespin. To attach your backdrop to the wall simply stick the tape to the wall and clip your backdrop to the clothespin. You will need 5-8 clothespins depending on the length of your backdrop.
