You’ll get snow-many smiles when you display this DIY tulle snowman wreath on your door this holiday season! So grab your mug of hot chocolate and your fuzzy slippers and get ready to make the perfect craft for a cozy winter day!
Begin cutting lengths of white tulle, at least 12″ long. The length you cut reflects how ‘fluffy’ or textured you want your wreath.
Wrap a strip of white tulle around the wreath form and knot into place. Repeat this step all the way around the wreath. For a more dense wreath, squeeze each knot closer together. If you don’t want a ‘fluffy’ wreath, space your knots further apart. To complete the project as shown, 3 tulle rolls were used.
Use a foam brush to apply black acrylic paint onto two ping pong balls.
Once the paint is dry, hot glue the ping pong balls onto the wreath to represent the snowman’s eyes.
To make the scarf, cut an 8.5 x 11″ sheet of red felt in half length-wise.
Cut a 1.5″ strip of green felt and glue it to the short side of the long red strip making sure that the green strip hangs off of the red strip by at least 1″. Cut the bottom felt strip into fringe and hot glue the completed scarf ends to the back of the wreath.
Cut a carrot-shaped nose shape from an orange foam sheet and glue to the front of the wreath just below the ping pong eyes.
Glue a ribbon loop to the back of the wreath to use as a hanger. Faster than you can sing ‘Baby’ it’s cold outside’, you have a super cute snowman wreath. This wreath would look great above a mantle, on a holiday-inspired gallery wall or on your front door!
