These fun DIY Valentine Topiary Trees will bring a heartfelt touch to your Valentine’s Day décor. Get ready to bring pops of color and height to your Valentine’s Day mantel or table. Check out the easy to follow step-by-step directions below!
Paint the base of a 3” and 4” ceramic flowerpot with acrylic paint and a flat bristled paint brush. Paint the lip of the flowerpot with white acrylic paint. Once the paint is dry, apply Black and White Washi Tape around the lip of the flowerpot. Add a bit of bling to the flowerpots by drawing a line along rim of the flowerpot with a Gold Metallic Sharpie®.
Glue a 2” or 3” Styrofoam Ball into the corresponding flowerpot using a glue gun. Put the 2” ball into the small flower pot and the 3” ball into the larger flowerpot.
Use a pencil to poke a hole into the styrofoam ball that's inside the flowerpot. Glue a Mint Paper Straw into the hole. Paint the styrofoam ball in a coordinating color and allow to dry. We painted our ball light pink.
Cut the Black & White Striped Satin Ribbon into 1.5” strips. Use a glue gun to carefully glue the ribbon into rolls. Make about 25-30 and set aside.
Cut the Light Pink Satin Ribbon, Gold Glitter Ribbon, hot pink grosgrain ribbon and mint grosgrain ribbon into 3.5” lengths. Glue the ribbon into loops. Make 25-30 of each color. Glue the striped ribbon and ribbon loops onto the Styrofoam balls until the balls are completely covered.
Place Gold Metallic Shred into the flowerpots and display on your Valentine’s Day mantel today!
