If you are anything like us, we love changing up photos around the house. Updating pictures can breathe some fresh air into your decor. Well, today we are delighted to share a simple and practical craft with you – our DIY Washi Tape Gallery Wall Frames. This month’s Craftabulous supply of the month uses Primary Patterned Washi Tape Set. It is amazing how some patterned tape and an unfinished wood frame can turn out so lovely! We turned these simple wood frames into a sweet gallery wall that showcases some of our favorite family photos. Lean how we transformed plain frames into a fun, bright and modern home decor accent with this washi tape idea.
Paint a portion of the frame (a 6×6 frame or 5×7 frame) to give it a color blocked and natural wood look. Use the washi tape to block off the area you want to paint. Let the paint dry and then peel off the tape.
Decorate a frame with washi tape. I created a cool and mod grid design with the purple grid tape. You can mix and match washi tape or keep it simple like I did using one tape per frame. You can really mix things up by adding tape to the painted frames!
Hang your DIY picture frames on a wall, creating a fun and unique gallery of your favorite memories.
