Do you love candy as much as I do? Then this sophisticated, candy centerpiece is the perfect DIY for your wedding. To make a wedding centerpiece with candy that looks formal and classy, you have to get creative! I decorated geometric containers with black and white candy. Fun lollipops peek out of a monochromatic floral arrangement. Read on to learn how to make these eye-catching centerpieces?
Hot glue the candy straws on the sides of the small octagon container. Line the bottoms of the straws up with the bottom of the container. Glue all white straws on one side, then all black on the next to create a striped look.
On the larger octagon container, hot glue the black and white candy sticks all the way around. Take the plastic off the candy sticks before gluing.
Wire the lollipops by taping a floral wire onto the stick. Take the wrapper off of the lollipop first.
The octagon containers don’t hold water. To solve that problem, we are going to make the floral arrangements in water glasses to put inside the containers. Make a small grid on the top of the water glass with floral tape to create a structure for the flowers to rest on.
Start your arrangement by adding in fluffy flowers, like hydrangea, near the lip of the container. We are trying to hide the top of the container. Continue adding your blooms to create a full centerpiece.
Add the lollipops to the centerpiece.
Style the centerpieces on your reception tables with a crisp white linen tablecloth, modern white china, gold cutlery, and crystal glassware.
