Create an easy DIY Wooden Flower Box for your wedding. You can use these flower boxes for floral arrangements or to hold just about anything you can think of for your wedding. They are large and create a stunning wedding centerpiece. I am going to show you a stained only version, and a white wash version. You could also choose to paint your flower box a solid color to coordinate with your wedding.
Stain your flower box and let it dry. If you want it darker you will add more coats. Letting each one dry before you add a second. I did two coats for my final finished stained flower box.
You can stop here if you do not want the white wash finish.
Very lightly dip your paint brush in the white chalk paint, and create your strokes on top of your stained box. Barely pushing down as you go. Carefully sand over the finish. Let dry. You can repeat if you want a heavier white wash or leave alone if you want it lighter. For the finished image below I did two coats of the white chalk paint.
