Sharing some of your favorite memories and highlights of your relationship leading up to your big day can be a sweet, romantic and fun element to add to your wedding! One of the best and most beautiful ways to display these treasured memories is to create a unique DIY Memory Board to display at your ceremony and reception! With a few crafty supplies, some colorful greenery and your cherished memories, you can create this beautiful tribute to your special story.
Start creating your DIY Wedding Memory Board by covering the foam core board in the Fadeless Weathered Wood Paper Roll. Secure the paper on the back of the board with hot glue.
It’s time to get painting! There are several items which need a fresh coat of paint. We opted for white paint for a fresh clean wedding look but you can easily paint your details any color that matches the colors of your wedding. Spray paint the DIY 5X7 Frames and the DIY Unfinished Wood Square Frames and allow them to fully dry.
While you are waiting for the other details to dry, start painting the DIY Canvases with the Water Color Wheel Stack Pack. We went with a purple hue to coordinate with our wedding colors and to compliment the floral elements that we will be tying in later steps.
Now that the canvases are completely dry, it’s time to add a personalized detail by adding a monogram and the wedding date to the canvases. Using the gold Sharpie Metallic Fine Point Permanent Marker, add the monogram and date detailing.
Now that your mini canvases are monogrammed and your picture frames are dry, it’s time to adhere them to the Foamcore board. Using a bit of hot glue, add the frames to the board.
Next, add a little sweet detail to the two rectangular frames and a single square frame, secure two Sentimental Skeleton Key Charms to the top of the DIY 5X7 Frames and allow to fully dry.
Now that the keys are in place, use a sharpie to add the words “key to my heart” to each DIY 5X7 Frame.
Add a favorite photo from a treasured trip, date night or special moment in your relationship to the rectangular frames and secure them to the board with hot glue.
Transfer the I Love You Because Wall Decal quote onto the middle of the board to complete the look.
Insert the Round Flameless Candles into the interior of the Galvanized Lantern Candle Holders (do not use open flame candles with this product). We added a few flowers to our lantern next to each candle. We added both a Medium Boxwood Decor Balland a Small Boxwood Decor Ballto Silver Mercury Glass Candle Holders for a fresh greenery look.
Lastly, display this romantic special story that lead to your big day at your wedding reception and ceremony! We displayed our board on a Studio Designs Museum Wooden Easel in front of Lilac Tassel Garlands. Add a romantic detail by layering the Boxwood Garland with Faux Baby’s Breath Stems and faux flowers and drape the garland across the top of the board.
Guests will love admiring the details of the board and your relationship!
