Setting up a welcome station or sign at your event is a wonderful way to set the tone and ambiance of the day. For our recent Lemon and Greenery Inspired Weddingwe created a rustic welcome sign full of fresh colors, gorgeous flowers and greenery that gave our guests a taste of what was to come from our chic, farmhouse inspired event. Follow these few, simple steps so you can fashion your own DIY Welcome Sign perfect for your wedding!
Begin by arranging 18 Weathered Wood Slats so they form a 3x6 box. Once in place, begin gluing the pieces together by adding a line of Wood Glue to the edges of the Boards. Allow to dry.
Take 2 pieces of Kraft Paper and tape them together at the seam so it forms one larger piece of paper.
Take the DIY Calligraphy Stencil that says "Welcome" and center it on Kraft Paper. Secure with Painter's Tape to prevent sliding and then trace the word using a pencil. Remove the Stencil then fill in the word using Yellow Acrylic Paint onto the board. Allow to dry.
Adhere the stenciled Kraft Paper sign to the board using Mod Podge and then outline the sign using Yellow Washi Tape.
Place the welcome sign on the Studio Designs Wooden Museum Easel. Take the Faux Eucalyptus Greenery Garland and drape it overtop of the sign so it hangs across the top and down the side. Decorate the Garland with fresh flowers, lemons and a few Faux Floral Stems , Faux Floral and Greenery Stems as well.
