I love Halloween and coming up with spooky, fun DIY projects. One of my new favorite projects are these Witch Hat Headbands. They would be perfect to wear to your child’s Halloween party at school, wear to work on Halloween or even as a party activity for your own Halloween party. They were a perfect craft activity at my latest WitchCRAFT Party. Let’s get started!
Paint one Cone and a cupcake board with Black Acrylic Paint. Let fully dry.
Using a Glue Gun, place a thick layer of hot glue around the bottom edge of the cone and place firmly down on to the middle of the cupcake board. Let dry.
Place a line of hot glue around the bottom edge of the cone where it meets the cupcake board and wrap one Striped Chenille Stem on top of the glue. Trim the excess chenille stem with scissors.
Now it’s time to decorate your hat! Place Self-Adhesive Pearl Jewels all around the outer edge of the cupcake board. Add embellishments like these Black & White Buttons and a Scary Spider with hot glue. There are so many ways you can decorate your hat and Oriental Trading has lots of embellishments to choose from. Get creative and have fun!
Place a nickel-sized amount of hot glue to the Black Fabric Headband. Place the witch hat on top of the hot glue and press firmly. Let dry.
Party Tip: These are super fun to make at a party as a craft activity for guests to make together. There are so many cool combinations you can use to decorate them. Give each guest the supplies and let the fun begin!
