Nothing says fall like the colors, sounds and smells of nature. Bring the fun hues of fall indoors with this simple DIY Wood Slice Fall Wreath. Wood slices are painted and embellished to mimic the autumn pumpkin harvest while their words usher your guests to have a happy fall!
Use orange acrylic paint and a flat paint brush to paint the large wood slices orange. Paint the small wood slices with a dusty blue acrylic paint and allow time to dry.
Decide how you would like your wreath to look by laying the wood slices on top of a 12” wood craft ring, arranging the large slices first and then fill in with the small wood slices. Once you have achieved your layout, glue the wood slices to the craft ring using a hot glue gun.
Use a pencil to lightly draw your fall message onto three of the wood coasters. Trace over your drawing with a white Acrylic Paint Marker.
Gather some branches from outside. If needed, use a small craft saw to cut them into three 1-1.5” lengths. Glue the branches to the top of three of the large wood slices.
Tie raffia around the pumpkin stems and glue a length of ribbon to the back of the wreath.
This wreath looks great hanging on your front door all Autumn long!
