Build up excitement for Easter with this pretty Easter egg countdown calendar made from wooden eggs and faux flowers displayed in a cupcake stand! Fill each egg with a special Easter Bible verse and a few pieces of candy for a special treat each day. This fun Easter countdown doubles as a beautiful piece of home decor, such as a pretty centerpiece for your dining table leading up to Easter. You can reuse it year after year!
If you like, you can start by spray painting the metal cupcake stand gold, or leave it silver and skip this step!
Paint the 12 wooden eggs with lids with pastel craft paint and a foam brush. Let dry and add another coat of paint if necessary.
Add number stickers to the outside of the eggs to number them from 1 to 12.
Fill the eggs with candy like jelly beans or chocolate eggs and a favorite Easter bible verse. You can hand write or print the verse on a strip of paper and roll it up to fit it into the egg!
Position the eggs on the cupcake stand along with some faux flowers and greenery. I used a mix of these roses, white flowers, and frosted greenery. Use wire cutters to trim them from their stems.
