For my Candy Corn Cake, I decorated a store-bought cake with sprinkles and candies and made a DIY Candy Corn Cake Topper to add some height to the cake and tie the cake to my candy corn party theme. It was easy to make, but made all the difference in the world!
Take the Washi Tape and tape off the bottom third of the Pennant Wood Veneer Shape, leaving about a quarter inch section to paint.
Paint the untaped portion orange. Let dry.
Remove the tape.
Tape the top third and the bottom third of the Pennant Wood Veneer Shapes, leaving the middle section available to be painted.
Paint the middle section yellow. Let dry.
Remove the tape.
Tape off the top third of the Pennant Wood Veneer Shapes, leaving the bottom section available to be painted.
Paint the bottom of the triangle white. Let dry.
Remove the tape.
String the Pennant Wood Veneer Shapes together with White Round Stretchy Cording and tie both sides to Orange Striped Paper Straws.
Place the Candy Corn Cake Topper in your cake.
