I remember making Friendship Bracelets with my friends for hours on end. One of the easiest ones is this fishtail weave. I love how it shows off all the colors. Take about 6 different colors of embroidery floss and measure them out to about 75 cm each. Fold them in half and cut at the center. Tie a knot around one end and tape it down. Split the threads into two even sides. Then begin making your fishtail moving the outside thread of the right side, across to the inside of the left side. Repeat on the left. Continue until you are about half-way through. Thread a charm or bead up one side of threads. Then continue with the fishtail until you finish. My girls can't stop making these. They are taking them to school to hand out to friends.
