One of our favorite ways to decorate for a party is to hang handmade garlands on the wall. They look great behind the dessert table, or hanging over the entry to the party. Pair a garland with paper fans and you’ll have a cute and easy party set up. We’re showing you one of our quick party hacks with our tutorial for an Easy DIY Sticker Garland. Using self-adhesive sticker labels in different shapes and colors gives you the chance to make multiple garlands with so many pops of color. Pair the stickers with white and silver baker’s twine for a little pop of sparkle.
Cut your desired length of baker’s twine. Make sure and leave 5 inches of twine on each end of garland for hanging.
Start making your garland! Peel off a sticker and place sticky side on center of sticker on the baker’s twine. Fold sticker in half and secure onto it self. Press to seal. Keep adding stickers to the twine equal distance apart.
Once you’ve finished you can hang with washi tape on the wall. We loved making our sticker garlands in solid colors, but you can always make garlands with two different color stickers or more! We love to hang our garlands on the wall to create a layered effect. Then add paper fans in corresponding colors to each end of the garland. These are perfect for any celebration!
