Make these easy, hand sewn felt ornaments this holiday season to add some Christmas cheer to your tree. This is a great beginning sewing project for kids age 6 and older. Using a basic sewing stitch called the whip stitch, youll have this adorable reindeer whipped up in no time!
Print out the reindeer template. Cut out two white reindeer shapes. Using the beginner whip stitch, begin stitching the two layers of the white felt reindeer pieces together.
About 3/4 of the way through, fill your reindeer ornament with filling. Poly fill stuffing is available at most craft stores.
Finish stitching the reindeer closed. Using red felt, cut out a heart shape for the reindeers nose. Hot glue or stitch on the red heart nose.
Using brown thread and a needle, stitch a few lines to make the w shaped mouth. Repeat for the eyes making a u shape.
Cut a piece of ribbon to attach for the handle. Fold ribbon and hot glue together. Hot glue to the back of your reindeer ornament.
