Hummus is a family favorite and I often whip up a batch for our parties. Sometimes I mix it up with some Latin flair or make it with just a few spices like I did for my recent Greek Mythology Teen Halloween Party. My sons actually love hummus, so it was a hit with them and their friends. This recipe is super simple and can literally be whipped up in 5 minutes.
- 1 30 oz. Can of Garbanzo Beans (drained, but reserve the liquid)
- 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp. Ground Cumin
- 2 t. Garlic Salt
- 1 t. Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- 1 t. Lemon Juice
Add all the ingredients (except the liquid from the garbanzo beans) in a blender or food processor.
Pulse until smooth, adding liquid until desired consistency.
Chill and serve with pita chips.
